RADISSON HOTEL SAN ANTONIO DOWNTOWN MARKET SQUARE
502 west Durango Street San Antonia
Number of Rooms: 250
Location:
The Radisson Hotel San Antonio Downtown Market Square is situated
the Market Square which is the major tourist attraction of the
area. It is created with all the heritage of San Antonio as its
guideline; the architecture, decor, detail and ambience perfectly
capture its historic charm and elegance. It is conveniently
located in downtown San Antonio off 1-10, next to Market Square
just minutes by trolley or courtesy van service to the Alamo,
River Walk, Convention Center, Alamo Dome, shopping and
restaurants. It is also a short drive to Sea World and Fiesta
Texas, and 15 minutes to San Antonio International Airport.
Comfort and a feeling of "home" were the criteria
used when creating all the Radisson rooms. You'll immediately feel
relaxed in any of the 250 spacious, tastefully decorated guest
rooms. When you're not out discovering the richness and romance of
San Antonio, or immersed in meetings and conferences, you can take
a much-deserved break in the tropical courtyard. It was created
for total relaxation. At the pool you can swim laps or catch the
sun, or just relax in the Jacuzzi, which is nestled among the
palms. There is an outdoor bar near the fountain as well as a
patio-style café for dining out, breakfast through dinner. And if
you're one of those "can't slow down, what do we do
next?", there's a fully equipped exercise room just off the
courtyard. There's also the in room Nintendo that's guaranteed to
keep kids of all ages occupied.
Nowhere can you conduct business better than at the Radisson
Downtown. An entire wing was specifically designed to cater to the
needs of any professional group, large or small. Over 6,000 square
feet of flexible meeting space includes six meeting rooms and
banquet facilities seating up to 400 people.
Of course, downtown San Antonio means more than the Alamo and
the River Walk. If you have a worldwide taste for food, you're
going to find so many diverse restaurants and you'll wonder if
you're really in Texas. And at the first setting of the sun, the
music and nightlife start and never seem to stop. Above all, if
you were meant to shop, San Antonio will seem like paradise. There
are dozens of riverside and street-level shops and boutiques.
None, however, as unique as Market Square/EI Mercado. You can shop
all day in a Mexican market filled with unique and authentic
fashions, gifts, souvenirs, vendors, music and fine restaurants.
The history of Market Square, in a sense, reflects that of San
Antonio. The first gathering place for farmers to sell their
produce, which was influenced by Spanish missionaries, Belgian
farmers and German settlers. Its final definition, you'll find, is
decidedly Mexican.
